A native of Asheville, NC, Maggie Alvarez spent a stint at Wake Forest University School of Law, then worked in accounting, publishing, and briefly moonlighted as a NASCAR radio spotter before finally landing in hospitality.
A member of the opening team of the prestigious St. Regis Deer Valley in Park City, Utah, Maggie managed the private hotel residences, as well as the rental management program for the hotel condos and association governance. While at the St. Regis Deer Valley, she launched the hotel's social media program and managed the sustainability initiatives.
Volunteering her skills for Slow Food Park City led to a full-time portfolio of clients interested in improving their social media, marketing, branding, service training, website development, and more.
Maggie also partnered with Kiska Digital, a full service web design and web development firm; she collaborated on web strategies for businesses, User Experience Design (UX), Information Architecture (IA), eCommerce, Content Management Systems, project management, and client development.
Some past projects include marketing and communications for Heirloom Group; a redesign of the Epic Brewing website; marketing and branding for Libation SLC; special event marketing for Chow Truck; and developing new service standards for the Nantucket Yacht Club.
